The Deutsche Bundesbank is one of the biggest central banks in the world. Our core business areas include monetary policy, banking supervision, financial and monetary systems, cash and cashless payments. We are looking to recruit a Deputy Head of the Research Centre at our Central Office in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The Research Centre is the link between the Bundesbank's practical work and academia. The Centre's employees carry out research on economic topics as well as on issues in the areas of banking supervision, financial stability and risk modelling. Your tasks: You will be expected to conduct your own research, preferably in the area of monetary economics, and provide guidance to younger researchers carrying out projects of their own. Furthermore, you will help the Head of the Research Centre to deal with organisational matters. By attending conferences, you will promote cooperation with external researchers, economists and academics. Your profile: PhD in economics with relevant published research; University degree, (accredited) Masters degree or equivalent university qualification with above-average results; Experience of working with international researchers and economists; Leadership experience and experience of working at a central bank would be considered to be an advantage; Confident manner; Very good written and spoken command of German and English.
