Position numbers 006019 and 52727. The Department of Economics in Dedman College of Southern Methodist University (SMU) invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor effective August 1, 2020. Candidates with a few years’ experience at the Assistant Professor level are also encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a strong research focus in applied economics, broadly defined. We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in development, labor, health, environment/natural resource, empirical industrial organization, political economy, and urban economics. Exceptional candidates in other areas will also receive due consideration. Successful candidates will be able to contribute to both undergraduate and graduate teaching in core areas.

Ph.D. is required by August 1, 2020.
