The economics department at Occidental College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Urban Economics, Welfare Economics, or Inequality, beginning in August 2019. Occidental College is a national liberal arts college recognized for its diverse student body, its commitment to academic excellence and equity, and its undergraduate research programs. Candidates must be committed to outstanding teaching and productive scholarly activity. The successful candidate will teach five courses annually, including upper division electives in at least one of the above fields and a selection of classes at the introductory and/or intermediate levels. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in economics or expect to complete the degree requirements by August 2019.
