Statement of Purpose/Status

Statement of Purpose

I am a Lecturer (AP) at Kingston University London and a visiting Research Fellow at LSE’s Grantham Research Institute. I use applied microeconomic techniques to answer policy relevant research questions in the areas of agriculture, development, and environment with focus on climate-vulnerable economies. I recently published in Ecological Economics, Land Economics, and World Development.

My research on land rental transactions as adaptation strategy has featured in World Bank’s selected readings on “Law, Climate Change and Development” and a sponsored session of 2016 AERE conference.

I have over 8 years of teaching experience, as both instructor and TA, at Kingston, LSE, Wyoming and Dhaka. I currently teach a grad course in Development Economics and undergrad courses in micro, macro and applied Economics. I supervise MS & PhD students specializing in Environmental & Climate Change Economics and Development Economics.
