2016 Disclosure Code Information
Remember, you must register for the meetings to gain access to the negotiated hotel rates.
Employer Disclosure Codes are confidential codes assigned to job positions in order to provide hotel and room information to job candidates for pre-arranged interviews. Because interviewers do not know their room numbers prior to check-in and thus cannot tell candidates in advance, this system was created to provide candidates with interview locations after arrival.
Instructions for Employers
1) Register by filling out a short application . A disclosure code will be assigned automatically for each position you enter (you will need a different disclosure code for each interview room). An email will be sent with the username and password to the primary and onsite contacts.
2) As you confirm interview times with the job candidates, inform them of this service and be sure they have your disclosure code.
3) Once you check into the hotel, log back in to enter the hotel and room number for each interview room. If you do not add the hotel and room number, your job candidates WILL NOT be able to locate you for their interviews. If you do not have internet access, come to one of the Disclosure Code Booths, and we will enter the information for you. (See booth locations below.)
4) Inform the job candidates that they can look up their codes at https://conf.aeaweb.org/employers/codes.php to find the hotel and room number. The job candidate can obtain the hotel and room number only after your interviewer has entered it, so please enter the information as soon as it is known. If candidates do not have internet access, they can come to the Disclosure Code Booths. (See booth locations below.)
