|Subject:||This workshop aims to bring together financial economists, theorists, and economic historians working on bubbles in asset markets. It will provide a forum for discussion of recent research on the causes and consequences of bubbles. Some of the possible topics include: What is the relationship between liquidity and bubble episodes? Do bubbles matter for macroeconomic activity? What do we learn from historical bubble episodes about the factors driving them? When can asset price bubbles be beneficial? What do we learn from growing evidence of cognitive biases and mistaken beliefs contributing to periods of overvaluation?
