| Subject: | MSKE 2011 will have the following objectives: - To analyze the economy of the 21st century as a knowledge based economy (KBE) led by the services sector. - To understand how to improve the management of services in the KBE. - To analyze the Service driven Knowledge Economy from a multidisciplinary perspective putting together contributions for various fields, namely Knowledge Management, Intellectual Capital, Human Resource Development, International Economics and Law; - To deal with specific problems we felt are decisive in managing the services in a Knowledge Economy setting, as Ageing, Trust, Sustainability, Social Media, Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Consumer Ethics and Social Responsibility; - To analyze specific sectors that are at the heart of the economic live like the Public Sector, Logistics, and the Banking sector. - To analyze the case of services and knowledge specific countries, and not only in the developed OECD countries but also in the BRICs.
