Full Text of JOE Listing:
The School of Public Affairs at Baruch College invites applications for a position to teach undergraduate and graduate-level economics in public policy and administration. The start date is August 2014, the rank is assistant professor, and the appointment is tenure-track. The candidate must have obtained a Ph.D. in economics or public policy before the position start date. He/she should possess an interest in working with an ethnically and racially diverse student body. Excellence in teaching, a commitment to research, and the willingness to participate in university and public service is expected.

Applicants with experience conducting (international) comparative research in the areas of public policy, political economics, regulatory economics, or economics of the management of public and nonprofit organizations are especially invited to apply. Successful candidates are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate-level core courses in economic analysis and policy and to contribute to teaching electives in the School's MPA policy track.

Baruch College is a public, urban institution with an enrollment of approximately 17,500 students. It is one of 23 colleges belonging to the City University of New York (CUNY). Since 1994, the School of Public Affairs has delivered undergraduate and graduate degrees in public policy and administration. It offers the Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs, the Masters of Public Administration, and the Masters of Science in Education (Educational Leadership and Higher Education Administration). The School's instructional staff comprise nearly 100 full-and part-time interdisciplinary faculty.
