The School of Economics at the University of Sydney is one of the primary centres for economics in Australia and the wider Asia/Pacific region, located in one of the most exciting cities in the world. To further strengthen our research portfolio and provide additional academic leadership in Economics, the School wishes to appoint a Professor of Macroeconomics. This is a full-time, tenured position.

The successful applicant will have an active and visible program of research in any branch of Macroeconomics. He/she will join a strong, dynamic and rapidly growing research group in the School of Economics. With an outstanding record of publication in the leading journals, and an international reputation for excellence in research that will enhance the position of the School of Economics internationally and nationally, the appointed candidate must be able to collaborate closely with colleagues in research and teaching and will have ample opportunities to engage more broadly within the macroeconomics community in the city and country. The ability to develop relationships with agencies nationally and internationally in macroeconomic policy is an advantage.
