The Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA) at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications and nominations for a tenure-stream faculty position at the assistant professor level in the fields of energy and/or environmental economics to begin in the fall term of 2014. Teaching will include seminars in the areas of specialization as well as core courses in economics and possibly quantitative methods. Ph.D. in economics or related field is expected at the time of appointment. Fieldwork experience or professional experience in relevant government, international organizations or non-profits is desirable but not essential.Evidence of a promising research agenda leading to high quality publications in any of the wide variety of topics related to energy and/or environmental economics is essential. Applicants should note that GSPIA recently launched a major in Energy & Environment and that the University of Pittsburgh features a university-wide Center for Energy and is engaged in a broad initiative to enhance teaching and research related to sustainability.
