The Carter G. Woodson Institute of the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences invites applications for a position at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track) or tenured Associate Professor in the area of Race and Inequality in the United States and African Diaspora. This is a joint appointment in the Woodson Institute with another department in Arts and Sciences (Economics, History, Politics, or Sociology). Candidates are expected to have a strong research record relative to rank, along with the capacity to teach and advise Ph.D. students in their research.

The appointment start date will be August 25, 2014. Applicants at the assistant level must hold a Ph.D at the time of appointment.
