Cornell's Employment and Disability Institute (EDI) and Institute for Compensation Studies (ICS) are seeking a joint Research Associate. The responsibilities are to assist principal EDI investigators in the development and execution of research projects evaluating disability and employment outcomes, and to mentor and guide ICS research students, appropriately adapting tasks and individualized instruction. Teaching courses on campus is also a possibility. The Research Associate will:
-Coordinate various aspects of EDI research projects, construct innovative data structures from national surveys and administrative records, communicate research findings, utilize econometric techniques, contribute to proposal grant writing, and author/co-author papers.
-Set semester goals for each ICS research student, provide instruction on statistical and qualitative research techniques and resources, and support students' growth and engagement in the research process.

Applicants required to have a PhD by June 2014, demonstrated quantitative skills, strong written and oral communication skills. The Research Associate is a non-tenure track term position of at least one year.
