The Department of Economics invites applications for a full-time, beginning tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 1, 2014, in one or more of the above fields with a focus on US domestic social policy. In addition to courses in the area of specialization, the successful candidate will teach a one-semester introductory course and either statistics, econometrics, or microeconomics. Ph.D. by the August 1, 2014, start date in economics, teaching experience, and evidence of research potential are required. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to research and teaching excellence in a liberal arts environment.

Applicants should submit a single pdf file containing a cover letter, curriculum vitae, samples of current research, a brief statement of teaching philosophy, and recent teaching evaluations to EconSearch_BeginAsst@brynmawr.edu. In addition arrange for three reference letters that address both research and teaching to be sent via email. To be assured of consideration for interviews at the ASSA meetings in Philadelphia, all materials must be received by November 16, 2013.
