Professor Richard Hornbeck (Harvard University) is searching for a full-time research assistant with several options for starting dates (Winter 2013, Spring 2014, Summer 2014, Fall 2014). Work hours are flexible but will average the equivalent of full time. Conditional on performance, we hope to fill the position for 1 to 2 years. The salary is $40,000 on an annual basis.

The successful candidate will take on an important role in research on Economic History, Development Economics, Environmental Economics, Labor Economics, Urban Economics, and Applied Microeconomics generally. Experience with programming in Stata is highly desirable, though general experience and a willingness to learn may be sufficient. We are looking for a highly-motivated person who can work efficiently with close attention to detail, both independently and in teams.
