Korea Institute of Local Finance(KILF) is a newly founded think tank located in Seoul. It is a public research institute funded by 244 local governments in Korea and maintains a close working relationship with the ministry of public administration and security. KILF aims to advance autonomy and interests of local governments by strengthening their fiscal and economic stability and soundness. Major research areas include local tax system, fiscal sustainability of local governments, and regional economic development.

We plan to aggressively expand our research capacity and seek qualified applicants with expertise in public finance and/or regional economics. However, applicants in all areas are encouraged to apply. A successful candidate must have a Ph.D in economics a public finance by the time of employment and is expected to work well under interdependent working conditions.
