Franklin Templeton Investments is a global investment manager based in San Mateo, California with more than $680 billion in AUM and 240 financial products.

Franklin Templeton Multi-Asset Strategies (FTMAS) draws from over 200 investment management strategies to deliver fully diversified portfolios. The FTMAS team's philosophy combines a top down and bottom up approach in order to deliver diversified, actively managed investment solutions.

This position is to join the team responsible for generating alpha and managing the risk of GTAA products. The team makes active investment decisions in stock market indices, government bonds, commodities, and currencies of both developed and emerging markets.

The Senior Macro-Economic Researcher will conduct applied research and analysis to identify, evaluate, (quantitatively and qualitatively) and test investment ideas across equity, fixed income, currency, and commodity markets.

Requirements:
- Minimum of three years conducting global macro research
- Interest in incorporating Top/Down macroeconomic research, including sector, country, and/or regional weightings and rotations, into a quantitative framework
- Capacity to think about macroeconomic investment ideas and forecasting methodology, and the ability to explain and defend those ideas to a broader audience
-Strong command of programming languages such as MatLab, C or C++
- PhD in Economics
