Assistant Researcher in Family Economics, position number 0084585, University of Hawaii-Manoa, CTAHR, Center on the Family, 11-month, tenure track, to begin January 2014. Review of application will begin on September 9, 2013 and continue until the position is filled.

Duties and Responsibilities: Design and conduct integrated research and outreach projects in areas relating to the well-being of families in Hawaii and consistent with the mission of the Center. Examples of relevant content areas include, but are not limited to: family economic well-being, economic inequality, family economic policy, human capital, intergenerational resource exchange, and health economics. Implement an outreach plan to complement the economic research agenda, e.g., develop and disseminate fact sheets, policy reports, or other educational resources; conduct program evaluations or cost-benefit analyses; conduct workshops/seminars for public stakeholders. Provide leadership and guidance to Center projects involving economic issues. Publish in academic journals. Secure extramural funds. As a member of COF's Data Center team, (a) develop socio-economic indicators that support data-informed decision making and programming; (b) participate in relevant strategic planning; and (c) represent the Data Center with government and community agencies. Teach one 3-credit course per year.
