The Department of Economics at the University of Memphis invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position for the fall 2013-spring 2014 academic year. The Department seeks candidates with a PhD in economics (ABDs who expect to defend by late August may be considered) with strong competence in macroeconomics to teach graduate courses in macroeconomic theory as well as courses at the undergraduate level. The course load will be three classes per semester. We desire an excellent teacher who can also contribute to the intellectual life of the Department. Screening will begin on May 15 and will continue until the position is filled.
