Beacon Economics, one of California's leading economic research and consulting firms, is seeking a qualified senior person to join its team of widely published economists. The firm specializes in national and regional economic forecasting, real estate and labor market analysis, litigation support, and high profile economic policy analysis. The preferred applicant will have specific expertise in macroeconomic forecasting, finance, or real estate economics and significant project management experience. Position will conduct research and analysis for a broad range of projects utilizing a wide variety of data sources. Responsibilities include developing and monitoring statistical and other quantitative models; performing complex statistical analysis; conducting original research; analyzing existing research; participating in business development activities, including assisting in developing proposals and responding to contract bids; managing research projects from proposal through delivery; and overseeing/developing the work of research associates.

Required Qualifications:
-Advanced degree in economics. PhD strongly preferred.
-At least two years experience performing high level economic analysis/forecasting and econometric modeling.
-Two years professional project management experience for private/public sector clients.
-High level of proficiency using analytic and statistical software including STATA, Eviews, SPSS.
-Strong written, verbal, and formal presentation skills.
