Berea College announces a full time, one-year appointment in Macroeconomics to start Fall 2013. Within Berea's liberal arts environment, the Economics program works closely with the Business Administration program and maintains a concentration in International Politics and Policy as well as a specialized concentration in Methods and Models. Both programs are in a division that includes Computer and Information Science, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Technology and Applied Design, Sustainability and Environmental Studies, and Entrepreneurship for the Public Good. Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate economics courses, including Money and Banking, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Principles of Micro- and/or Macroeconomics, and, based on interests and specialization, courses in International Finance, International Political Economy, or Growth and Development. Applicants should have completed or be close to completing a Ph.D. in Economics. Teaching load is six courses per year. Commitment to the purposes of the College and to superior teaching, research, and mentoring of undergraduates in a liberal arts environment is essential. Faculty rank and salary will be commensurate with education, experience, and scholarship record.
