The Economics Department invites applications for two temporary faculty positions starting August 2013; one position as a one-year sabbatical leave replacement and one two-year position. Applicants should have a Ph.D. (ABD also considered) in economics and a demonstrated record of teaching excellence. Looking for a collaborative and versatile generalist with a demonstrated interest in a learning-centered approach to teaching and the ability to teach classes that include a mix of economics majors, majors in several other disciplines, and general education students. Courses may include money & banking, development economics, international economics, intermediate microeconomics, environmental and natural resources economics, energy economics, economics of a sustainable society. The candidate is expected to collaborate on course design to meet programmatic needs and engage in departmental activities. The ideal applicant will share our commitment to interdisciplinary undergraduate education.
