Sustainable Fisheries Group (SFG) at UCSB seeks a post-doctoral scholar with a research focus on natural resource economics, to begin as soon as possible. Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in economics or a closely related sub-discipline by August 1, 2013 and have experience in natural resource or environmental economics, with excellent skills in applied econometrics, dynamic optimization, or game theory. SFG is a multidisciplinary research hub merging economics and ecology to address theoretical and applied challenges (http://sfg.msi.ucsb.edu/). Scholar will report to SFG Principals Robert Deacon and Christopher Costello and be affiliated with Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, Marine Science Institute, and Department of Economics.
Appointment is 12 months; reappointment possible depending on performance and funding. Salary is competitive, commensurate with applicant's qualifications. Postdoctoral benefits included (http://hr.ucsb.edu/benefits/postdoc.php).
