Hunan University (Changsha, China) is launching an international platform consisting of three new Institutes: Economics, Financial Research and Management Science, and it will employ full-time and special-term faculty with doctoral degrees from research universities overseas. The platform will provide master's and doctoral programs, teaching and instruction in English. Subject to budget approval, we are looking for several special-term/part-time/visiting faculty members for the Institute of Economics. Preferred candidates are tenured faculty from research universities in North America with distinguished records in academic publications and a strong commitment to teaching excellence. The special-term faculty members are required to teach graduate courses in major fields of economics, and may also serve as supervisors for graduate students. Chinese language is not required, and we encourage faculty emeritus and non-Chinese speakers to apply. The appointment can coincide with candidate's existing position. Compensation is competitive. Preference will be given to those who can teach or co-teach semester courses.
