The Department of Economics invites applications for one tenured faculty position starting on October 1, 2013 or sometime no later than April 1, 2014 at the rank of Associate Professor or Lecturer (equivalent of Assistant Professor in North America). For appointment, applicants must have completed their Ph.D. (or very close to completion) or have accomplished equivalent academic works. They must also demonstrate promise of excellence in research and teaching in econometrics. Teaching duties include undergraduate econometrics, statistics, and graduate course(s) of their expertise. Candidates are expected to have good commands of Japanese which is our means of instruction.
