Redfin's mission is to reinvent real estate and we are building a world-class team to tell our story. We have goods to be the go-to real estate source, and we need a big-thinking real estate economist - someone who is willing to make big calls about real estate, our business and the economy - who can be the face of Redfin.
You will:
--Work with Data Scientist and media relations experts to develop newsworthy ideas and support them with research analysis.
--Report on real estate industry, homebuyer/seller sentiment, business data and user behavior.
--Keep abreast of macro-economic trends, housing market trends, and Redfin user/client trends.
--Serve as media spokesperson.
--Build and maintain relationships with industry influencers and journalists.
You'll need:
--PhD in Economics and 3+ years work experience in the field.
--Passion for real estate.
--Expertise in econometrics and economics theory.
--Ability to communicate complex information simply (written or presented).
--On-camera experience helpful.
You'll get:
