The Program on the Global Demography of Aging (PGDA) at the Harvard School of Public Health seeks a postdoctoral fellow in the Economics and Demography of Aging to begin September 2013. The successful post-doctoral fellow will continue his/her training through a one-year fellowship (with the possibility of a second year) at the Harvard Center for Population and Development Studies and the Department of Global Health and Population. They will work directly on projects with faculty members and will also be expected to develop their own research agenda. Fellows usually undertake some field work in developing countries and may be permitted to undertake a small amount of teaching. Applicants should have a recent Ph.D. in a related discipline (or expect to receive a Ph.D. by September 2013). Experience of field work is desirable. Fellows will be selected on the basis of their academic achievement and promise.
