Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a full-time one-year position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and Management to begin September 1, 2013.
We seek candidates who have an earned doctorate, but will consider candidates who have achieved ABD status. The successful candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level. Previous academic experience with small, liberal arts colleges is highly desirable. We encourage candidates to describe their experience with a variety of teaching methods and curricular perspectives.
Primary responsibilities will include three courses per semester plus a one-month experiential course in January. The successful candidate must be able to teach courses in principles of microeconomics, managerial economics, and applied microeconomics. Please include in your application a list of at least two applied microeconomics courses that you could teach. The ability to teach Statistics for Economics and Management will be considered a plus.
