Full Text of JOE Listing:
The School of Economics and Finance, ranked joint sixth in the UK in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, is seeking to employ a suitably qualified Teaching Fellow. He or she will undertake a two year fixed term teaching fellowship in order to promote and contribute to the delivery of high quality teaching, scholarship, research and academic management in the School by:

*Improving student attendance and enhancing the effective engagement of students in teaching and learning;
*Reviewing and exploring innovative methods of teaching delivery on postgraduate programmes and in particular considering a more flexible and creative management of weekly contact hours;
*Encouraging progression to PhD studies of more capable students and supporting transition into labour market by developing a clear and focussed careers strategy; maintaining contacts with alumni
*Enhancing assessment feedback to students;
*Engaging in research in any Economics and Finance field.

Candidates should have an excellent academic background and a PhD in either Finance or Economics. Post holders will take an active role in ensuring academic quality and standards in the School, curriculum development, and supervision of students and the use of technology in teaching. The successful candidate will report to the Head of School, Professor George Kapetanios.

Successful candidates must be able to take up appointments by 2ndJuly 2013.The salary will be in the range of £33,944 to £43,353 per annum, subject to experience and qualifications. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, an interest-free season ticket loan, childcare vouchers'

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
