VCU's Department of Healthcare Policy and Research (HCPR) invites applications for a tenure-track Associate/Full Professor position in health services research, health economics, or health policy. The Department is a vital and growing research intensive department in the School of Medicine with 7 full-time faculty members, research support staff, and a research oriented doctoral program planned to commence in 2012. VCU boasts one of the country's most comprehensive health sciences centers--the Schools of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, and Allied Health Professions, and the Massey Cancer Center, as part of the VCU Medical Center. The Department is ideally located in the state's capital and close to Washington DC, providing excellent opportunities for interaction and research collaboration with state and federal policy makers.

Qualifications: Applicants must (1) possess a doctoral degree in economics, health services research, public policy, or related field and (2) have a strong research background with a funded research portfolio. The successful candidate will have strong quantitative and methodological expertise. Salary and start-up packages are highly competitive and commensurate with experience.
