The Department of Economics is seeking applicants for a lecturer position beginning August 2013. This is a non-tenure track position with the possibility of annual renewal based on performance. Responsibilities include teaching 12 hours each semester of undergraduate principles of micro and/or macroeconomics, business and economics statistics, and possibly an upper division class, and advising undergraduate economics majors. Minimum qualifications are: ABD in economics, prior college/university teaching experience, and a demonstrated potential for quality teaching. We also seek evidence of experience with on-line and distance instruction. Send letter of interest, current CV, teaching portfolio with teaching philosophy, sample course syllabi, sample exams, summary of teaching evaluations, and contact information for three professional references. The search will remain open until the position is filled, however, the Search Committee will begin reviewing applications immediately.
