The newly established School of Public Policy (SPP) at Central European University will be recruiting at the 2013 ASSA Annual Meeting for an open rank faculty position in Economics (2012/067).
The ideal candidates will:
--Have outstanding academic credentials (Ph.D. in economics and a well-recognized publications record reflective of rank) and pursue an ambitious research agenda which incorporates applied empirical analysis;
--Exhibit a passion for teaching and an openness to employ innovative teaching methods;
--Be able to teach part of the core curriculum to graduate students of the MPA program; the curriculum includes microeconomics, macroeconomics, and select courses in international economics, development, and/or political economy offered at the introductory and intermediate levels;
--Contribute to the development of an interdisciplinary curriculum and be able to collaborate with faculty across disciplines;
--Have the ambition and talent to influence economic policy debates as well as an interest in bringing new models of economic thinking to the forefront;
--Be committed to building a world-class institution.
