The School of Information and the Department of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley seek applicants at the rank of full professor to apply for the Hal R. Varian Chair in Information Economics a joint position between the two units at 100% time to commence academic year 2013-14. We seek a distinguished scholar and teacher with a research focus on information economics, broadly defined. The ideal candidate will have an outstanding track record of publication in top-ranked economics journals. She or he will also have demonstrated the ability to elaborate the implications of their research, and findings from the field of information economics, for professional graduate students in the School of Information, for undergraduates, and for Ph.D. students in economics.

Qualifications include a Ph.D. or equivalent in Economics, or a related discipline, required at the time of application.
