The Brookings Institution invites applications for the Okun-Model Early-Career Fellowship in Economic Studies for the academic year 2013-2014. The Okun-Model Fellows Program is designed to offer outstanding economists the opportunity to pursue their own independent research on applied and policy issues in economics over the course of a year at Brookings. Application materials: a curriculum vitae, a 500-word research proposal, copies of up to five publications and working papers, and two letters of recommendation should be submitted by January 31, 2013 to The Okun-Model Fellows Program. Preference will be given to candidates who have two to six years of experience beyond the Ph.D., an expressed interest in using empirical research to analyze applied and policy issues, and an accessibly written proposal that addresses important issues in both economics and public policy.
