The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services Research and Data Analysis Division provides cost analyses, evaluations, needs assessments and performance measures about social and health services.
The Senior Research Manager for Health Economics job responsibilties are to:
--Conduct research evaluating social and health services using multivariate statistics and quasi-experimental designs
--Advise executive branch and legislative leaders on health outcomes and economic impacts
--Develop and use risk and outcome indicators in the agency's comprehensive DSHS Integrated Client Database
--Develop predictive models for operational use and evaluations
Minimum Qualifications:
--PhD in health economics or related field
--3+ years managing research staff
--Multivariate methods and quasi-experimental research designs
--SAS programming
Desirable Experience:
--Managing policy-driven research
--Legislative policy analysis
--Five years managing research staff
--Senior authorship of ten of more reports or peer-reviewed articles
