The National Science Foundation (NSF) is recruiting two visiting Directors for the Economics Program who, along with the permanent Program Director, will evaluate economics proposals, chair meetings of the Economics Advisory Panel, represent NSF at professional meetings and participate in interdisciplinary programs. The position will be filled on either a Visiting Scientist Appointment or a Temporary Appointment under the Excepted Authority of the NSF Act or Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) assignment for a period of one or two years. Appointments will begin in August 2012. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent in a field relevant to economic science and six or more years of research experience beyond the Ph.D.; successful candidates generally have a tenured academic position or equivalent experience.
