The Department of Economics of the University of Bern invites applications for a Postdoctoral Positions in Microeconomics starting in 2013. The position is for two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to scientific evaluation and budgetary approval. Specializations in any field of Microeconomics are welcome with an emphasis on theoretically oriented research. Potential candidates have recently completed, or are close to completing, their doctoral thesis, or are at a comparable point in a research career. The responsibility of the candidate is to engage in independent scholarly research and to take part in the intellectual life of the Department. Since only little teaching is required the position constitutes an excellent opportunity to further strengthen the candidate's research record. The Department's working language is English, so no knowledge of German is required. The gross salary is internationally competitive and subject to the regulations of the Canton of Bern.
