The UCR Economics Department invites applications for an open rank position in the area of Microeconomic Theory, with a priority on public economics. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor rank. Responsibilities include developing a strong research program and teaching/advising undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics and they will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants for Assistant Professor's rank are expected to have demonstrated commitment to high-quality scholarly research. For Associate/Full Professor rank, applicants should have an established record of outstanding research accomplishment; they will also be expected to guide the research of doctoral students, to be committed to a continuing, state-of-the-art research program, and to provide leadership in the department. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with education and experience. The appointment will commence on July 1, 2013.
