The UCR Economics Department invites applications for an open rank position in the area of Microeconomic Theory, with a priority on public economics. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor rank. Responsibilities include developing a strong research program and teaching/advising undergraduate and graduate students. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Economics and they will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants for Assistant Professor's rank are expected to have demonstrated commitment to high-quality scholarly research. For Associate/Full Professor rank, applicants should have an established record of outstanding research accomplishment; they will also be expected to guide the research of doctoral students, to be committed to a continuing, state-of-the-art research program, and to provide leadership in the department. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with education and experience. The appointment will commence on July 1, 2013.

For the Assistant Professor's rank 3 letters of recommendation, and, for the Associate/Full Professor's rank names and contact information of 3-5 references, need to be submitted. Review of the applications will begin on December 7, 2012, and will continue until the position is filled.
