The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), of KU Leuven is looking for Postdoctoral researchers. Every year, FEB appoints a number of postdoctoral researchers to a broad scope of different research positions. To fill these positions FEB invites candidates with outstanding PhD records to apply. FEB will guide and support excellent candidates through the process of obtaining research funding.
Research at FEB is organised within 5 research departments: (1) Accountancy, Finance and Insurance (AFI), (2) Centre for Economic Studies (CES), (3) Decision Sciences and Information Management (KBI), (4) Marketing and Organisation (MO), and (5) Managerial Economics, Strategy and Innovation (MSI). The position will entail close collaboration on new and ongoing research topics. The indicative research fields are:
AFI: auditing, financial reporting, management accounting, corporate finance, investments and micro structure, banking, asset pricing, forex and commodity markets, home bias, actuarial science, financial mathematics, risk management
CES: Development economics, Econometrics, industrial organization, environmental & transport economics, international economics, labour economics, macroeconomics & monetary economics, public economics, modeling of microeconomic choice behavior, the economics of taxation, the economics of education, welfare economics
KBI: Operations management & logistics, supply chain management, scheduling & project planning, operations issues in health care
Information systems, model-driven engineering and management of requirements, business processes, service oriented architecture
Design of experiments, robust & semiparametric statistics, model selection & testing, forecasting, operations research, combinatorial optimization & mathematical programming, planning & scheduling in manufacturing & distribution
MO: (experimental) consumer decision making, such as self-regulation and social interactions and factors influencing these decisions
Strategic human resources management, career transitions & employability, talent management & leadership, international & cross-cultural management
MSI: Industrial organization, (radical) innovation, international business strategy, political economy, bibliometrics, entrepreneurship (MSI)

Applicants should submit a CV, cover letter, thesis abstract and writing sample. Applicants should also state the topics, objectives and design for the specific research to be undertaken and include an abstract of their intended research project. Finally, applicants should indicate the names of three people who will write references on their behalf. The three letters of recommendation are to be submitted directly by November 30, 2012.
