National Bank of Poland (NBP, the central bank of Poland), a member of the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) has an opening in its Bureau of Applied Research for experienced or a new Ph.D.s in economics for its headquarters in Warsaw. The areas of interest include monetary policy, international economics and macro finance. The successful candidates are expected to conduct high-quality policy-relevant research, publishable in international refereed journals, to develop economic models for policy analysis and forecasting, and to contribute to the NBP's publications.
NBP provides research and travel support as well as access to extensive economic and financial data. A good command of spoken and written Polish would be a major asset. Applications are accepted from nationals of Member States of the European Union and Croatia. Salary and benefits are competitive.
