Full Text of JOE Listing:
Professor Alberto Salvo, an economist at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University is working with a multidisciplinary team examining consumer behavior in transportation markets and air quality in the megacity of Sao Paulo, Brazil. This team includes an atmospheric chemist (Professor Franz Geiger, Northwestern University), an earth scientist (Professor Andrew Jacobson, Northwestern University) and environmental physicists (Professors Paulo Artaxo and Dr Joel Brito at the University of Sao Paulo), among others.

With funding from Northwestern University's Initiative for Sustainability and Energy (ISEN), the General Motors Research Center for Strategy in Management, and the Center for Research in Technology & Innovation (CRTI), a postdoctoral position is currently open for a period of twelve months. The candidate will ideally demonstrate knowledge of applied econometrics, experience working with large datasets (or applied microeconomics more generally), and enthusiasm for energy and the environment in the developing world, where the "human-environment interaction" is rapidly evolving.

The fellowship will begin January 2013 and will extend through December 2013. The annual salary of this position is $55,000 plus eligibility to participate in Northwestern University employee benefits.
