Loyola University Maryland invites applicants for the position of Director of Global Studies, beginning August, 2013. The Director of Global Studies is a full time faculty position to be held by an experienced teacher/scholar with a record of teaching and research focused on global or international issues.
The Director of Global Studies will have a departmental home in one of the four core Global Studies departments: Economics, History, Political Science or Sociology. The successful candidate should have a record of teaching and research consistent with the rank of associate or full professor in the appropriate department. Administrative experience is required, with a preference for prior experience with interdisciplinary programs. The Director will be appointed to a three year renewable term.
