The National Institute for Fiscal Studies (NIFS) at Tsinghua University invites applications for the assistant/associate director or (senior) research fellow position. NIFS is affiliated with the Tsinghua School of Economics and Management, and it conducts research on fiscal issues, paying particular attention to issues with policy relevance to China. NIFS also runs related conferences, seminars and public events. The responsibilities of the position include research and research administration. Qualifications include a Ph.D. in Economics, Public Policy, or Public Administration; experience working with large data sets; strong econometrics skills; strong oral and written communications skills; the ability to work as part of or lead a team and to meet deadlines. Willingness to take on administrative responsibilities is necessary. Employment history with policy research institutions is a strong plus. Compensation is competitive.
