Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) is seeking new or experienced Ph.D. economists and statisticians for its Compliance Risk Analysis Division. The OCC charters, regulates, and supervises national banks and federal savings associations. CRAD economists use statistical analysis and econometric modeling to analyze bank models used primarily in the areas of fair lending, credit cards, and anti-money laundering. One of our most important roles is reviewing banks' quantitative models and advising examiners on model validation.

We are looking to add Economists and Statisticians with expertise in quantitative statistical and mathematical modeling. Prior research expertise in labor economics, housing economics, mortgage banking and sampling methods is helpful but not required. At the senior level, the ideal candidate will have a demonstrated expertise in fair lending or anti-money laundering modeling as evidenced by a substantial publication record and/or significant financial industry experience in related areas. At the junior level, ideal candidates will have an interest and capability in housing, discrimination, or applied statistics as evidenced by completed scholarly research work in related areas.
Candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents.
