The Department of Economics at the University of Haifa is recruiting several tenure-track junior and/or senior faculty members. Excellent applicants from all fields will be considered and hired on research potential. Senior candidates will need to demonstrate this by having a successful publication record in the top economic journals. Junior candidates must have a high quality job market paper and presentation, and are expected to obtain their PhD by the end of 2012. New hires will be given a generous start-up grant and reduced teaching load. Successful candidates are expected to supervise MA/PhD students, teach at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and contribute to our strong research environment. The positions are intended for scholars considering a long-term move to Israel.

The University of Haifa has a diverse, 17,000 student body and is located on the scenic Carmel mountain ridge, surrounded by the Carmel National Park.
