Full Text of JOE Listing:
The School Effectiveness and Inequality Initiative (SEII) seeks a Project Manager/Data Analyst to support efforts to improve effectiveness of programs and policies aimed at increasing human capital and reducing poverty. The Project Manager will work under the direction of SEII senior staff (Profs. Joshua Angrist, Parag Pathak, David Autor).

Duties include:
* Constructing original research data sets; preparing data * Conducting data analysis (using Stata); code management/documentation.
* Drafting grant proposals.
* Liaising between SEII and MIT Institute staff, ensuring that SEII is compliant with Institute policies and fully utilizing Institute resources.
* Management of SEII Research Associates.
* Other responsibilities, as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:
Ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in education, economics, statistics, public policy or other social sciences, and 2+ years' experience in research/policy work. Familiarity with Stata or equivalent statistical package; experience working with large data sets. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to handle several different projects/tasks at one time, successfully complete tasks assigned, and meet deadlines. A willingness to work hard, be self-motivated and learn essential for success in this position.
