The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City has an opening for the position of Economist or Senior Economist in the Banking Research Department. The position’s primary responsibilities are to advise and assist Reserve Bank management in the formulation of supervisory policy, provide speech support to senior officers, and conduct financial policy-oriented research for the Bank’s Economic Review and academic journals. Candidates for this position should have a Ph.D. in economics or finance, strong knowledge of U.S. banking and its regulatory framework, excellent writing and oral presentation skills, and a background in financial policy research.
