Full Text of JOE Listing:
The Assistant Professor will be associated with the Center of Macroeconomic Research (CMR) and integrated into the research network of the Cologne Graduate School. Successful candidates will hold a graduate scientific degree. They will have a recently or nearly completed doctorate with exceptional success shown by first publications in peer-reviewed journals or papers suitable for publication. Applications are invited in the areas of Macroeconomics and Public Economics. Theoretical, empirical and quantitative competence is valued.

The position is a full-time position. Salaries are based on the German TVL-13 or if conditions fulfilled A13 a.Z. (Verbeamtung auf Zeit) scale. A possibility to include the application in a later call for a Junior Professorship (W1) exist. The position has an initial contract period of three years with an extension for another three years after positive evaluation.

The successful candidate is expected to assume limited teaching responsibility (one class with section) in our programs. The teaching language is either German or English. Knowledge of German is not required.
