The Department of Economics of the University of Bern invites applications for a tenure track assistant professorship or an associate professorship in econometrics starting at the beginning of 2013. Specializations in any field of econometrics are welcome, but there is an emphasis on empirically oriented research. Only individuals with strong potential in research, effective teaching capabilities and the ability to acquire third-party funds will be considered. The successful candidates are expected to be able to teach at all levels. Teaching either English or German. Knowledge of German is not required. The position could be filled either on the level of an assistant professor with tenure track or an associate professor depending on qualifications. The gross salary is
