Subject to final budgetary authorization, the University of California, Irvine, seeks applicants for a tenure-track position in Economics affiliated with UCI's Master of Public Policy (MPP) degree program. The starting date is July 1, 2013. We seek well-qualified candidates at the Assistant Professor level whose research examines the policy process and/or particular policy areas. Candidates from a variety of different fields within economics would be suitable as long as their research has a policy focus. Along with teaching in the economics department, the successful candidate will be able to teach at least one of several courses in the MPP program: statistical methods; microeconomics and public policy; or the economics of government. Successful candidates must also demonstrate substantial promise for a scholarly career. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
