The Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level with a focus on the political economy of Asia. The committee is particularly interested in candidates who have expertise on Southeast Asia, though this is not a requirement. This position will have responsibility for teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level, including courses in Georgetown's new M.A. program in Asian Studies. Each application should include a cover letter; curriculum vitae; a brief statement of research and teaching interests; three letters of recommendation; samples of scholarly writing; and copies of teaching evaluations, if available. The position will commence in the fall of 2013. The deadline for applications is November 1, 2012. Review of applications will begin immediately after the deadline and will continue until the position is filled.
